Payton delegates had an amazing time at MUNUC 37 this weekend! There was lots of fun to be had both inside of committee and out, and we took home FIVE awards as well. Congratulations to Leah Galibois, Judah Cooper & Dylan Boras, and Sou Lynn Beneteau for each receiving verbal commendations in the House of York, DISEC, and Coney Island committees, respectively. And a special congratulations to Alexa Gola and Mia Mathew & Keilee Billena for each receiving honorable mentions in the Russian Constitutional Convention and SOCHUM committees, respectively. We’ll be looking forward to coming again next year!

Payton’s 20th annual MUNAP conference was a big success! Delegates had a blast in their committees, and we would like to thank all of you who came for participating. A huge thank you to our sponsor Mr. Torres and to all who helped plan this conference and chair committees. We couldn’t have done it without you, and we hope that all who came this year will return next year!

Last Saturday, Payton held its first ever PAWMUN conference for middle school delegates! 48 students from the KIPP schools came to Payton to participate. Special thanks to our guest speakers, two Payton alumni from the Class of 2024, Bridget Galibois and Megha Khemka. This year, all of the Payton model UN team was beyond devastated to learn that our beloved conference, MUNUC, had become virtual. We lost the opportunity to stay in hotel rooms and enjoy the company of each other, but, nevertheless, we persisted in creating an enjoyable conference. And let’s not forget Eva and Rem’s joyful display of their Spanish fluency as well as Evan’s quite peculiar taste in music🇺🇳🇺🇳🇺🇳🇺🇳
