I received my Bachelor’s Degree in History and Philosophy from DePaul University here in Chicago, a MAT in the Teaching of History from the University of Illinois-Chicago, and have just completed a Master’s in American History from the Pace University-Gilder Lehrman Institute program. Previous to teaching at Payton, I taught for eight years at George Washington High School in their highly successful International Baccalaureate program. I feel incredibly fortunate to have made my avocation, thinking about and studying history, my life’s work, and I take great pleasure seeing my students engage with the past so that they can better understand their present.
